On the farm
So much for the outdoor jobs! Snow and rain has made the ground very sticky, so we are delayed. We hope to get the tatties in next week, along with our first carrots and the parsnips! The cold snap has held back the salads in the polytunnel, and while the spinach has been romping away, some of the other leaves have stalled. Many apologies if we are not able to supply salad bags if you ordered these – we will be short again. The weather looks better in the days ahead so fingers crossed.

This weeks’ potatoes
This weeks’ potatoes are Orla, an all-rounder or Nicola, a salad potato. These lovely varieties are almost finished for this year. Orla is a more spherical tuber, and Nicola is elongated.
